2024 Symposium Dates - Important Dates

Information for Sponsors and Students

• November 1, 2023: Phil Robinson Research Grant Application Deadline
• January 15, 2024: Deadline for sponsor to register their school on Reviewr​
• February 23, 2024: Deadline for students to submit papers, apply for officer positions, apply for scholarships, and apply for honor awards.​
• March 4, 2024 @ 11:59 PM: Deadline for sponsors and students to edit their submissions prior to DQ round.
• March 24, 2024: Deadline for sponsors to submit a single payment for their students' Symposium fees.
• March 27, 2024: Notification of students who will be invited to present at the Symposium. Students not invited to present will be attendees.​
• April 19, 2024: Deadline for sponsors to confirm participation of their students.
• May 3, 2024 - Opening Ceremony and Jeffers Memorial Lecture (virtual via Zoom)
• May 4, 2024 - Student Research Symposium and presentations to judges (virtual via Zoom)
• ​​May 19, 2024 - 7:00 pm - VJAS Awards Ceremony (virtual via Zoom)

A Note Concerning the Awards:
The results posted are correct. Although we encourage judges to give out all available awards, the judges and only the judges, have the final discretion on who and how to award the section place winners. We do verify and confirm the results with Head Judges to ensure accuracy before departure. The decision rendered by the judges are final and we, VJAS, accepts the decisions as final as well, once confirmed.
